ELECTION NOTIFICATION

SUB: BANAE, BEC, Mumbai City ELECTION PROGRAM 

The undersigned has been appointed as the Returning Officer to conduct elections of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar National Association of Engineers (BANAE) Mumbai City District Executive Committee vide appointment letter dated 11th Nov 2023. As per the information provided by the BEC of Mumbai City district branch and in accordance with the byelaws of the BANAE, I declare the following election program for BANAE Mumbai City Distt branch. 

The schedule is as under; 
1. Publication of the voters list for BANAE Distt -Date:13/11/2023 1.30pm 
2. Last date for filing objections to voters list.14/11/2023, 2.30pm 
3. Date of publication of final list of voters-14/11/2023, 5.30pm 
4. Date of filing nominations for BEC, from 14/11/2023 after 5.30pm to 16/11/2023, 11.55pm For the following posts of BEC or Branch Executive committee. 
i. President-1post 
ii. Vice President -1post 
iii. Secretary -1post 
iv. Jt Secretary -1post 
v. Treasurer-1post 
vi. Auditor -1post 
vii. Executive Committee Member -3posts Total = 9 posts 
5. Last date for withdrawal of nominations.-17/11/2023 ,5.00pm 
6. Date of publication of the names of contestants.-17/11/2023 ,6PM 
7. Date and time of Election -19/11/2023 (Sunday), Time:3.00 to 5.00PM 
8. Counting of votes: 19/11/2023,5.30 PM onward and declaration of results after counting Venue : Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Center, Plot no.32-Part, Azad Nagar, Andheri West, Mumbai-400053 
9. All information related to voters list etc. will be available on the association official whatsapp group/website. 
10. All the eligible members of the BANAE Mumbai distt who are entitled to vote and contest as per bylaws may please note the above election program. 
11. Copy of the byelaws is made available on banae website www.banae.org 
12. All other information like formats of filing nomination, withdrawal etc. will be made available on www.banae.org and BANAE Mumbai City .distt whatsapp group. The same will be available with Returning Officer and district office. Instructions for contesting candidates for BANAE District Branch Elections. 
1. Contestant can file his/her nomination for one or more posts. 
2. His/her name has to be proposed by a valid branch member/voter. 
3. A person can propose or second for a candidate for one post. He/she cannot propose two persons for the same post. 
4. A person filing nomination for two posts will have to withdraw from one post before withdrawal date. 
5. A person who is a member of the branch where elections taking place can propose or second contestant for different posts at a time.
