"IF THERE IS ONE LESSON YOU MUST LEARN FROM MY LIFE, IT IS THIS THAT I HAVE NEVER DISOWNED MY COMMUNITY. I HAVE BEEN PROUD SHARING THEIR HAPPINESS AND MISERY AND SHALL CONTINUE TO DO SO ALL THROUGH MY LIFE" - DR. BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR

WHO WE ARE?

BANAE is an organisation of engineers of all disciplines from all states all over India who believes in the ideology and philosophy of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and constitutional principles of liberty, equality, fraternity and Justice.

Idea of establishing a nationwide organization of Ambedkarite engineers “BANAE” was mooted by Er B.D. Kardam, Chief Engineer, Central Railway and Er Anant Upasham, Consulting Engineer in the state level conference of Engineers. Others who supported the idea were Er. Devendra Walde, Er Ramesh Rangari, Er S. A. Nandeshwar, Er Nagsen Sonare, Er S. S. Ramteke, Er P. P. Aaglawe, Er V. S. Narnawre, Er B. T. Khandagale, Er S. S. Mane, Er P. G. Gadekar and several other Ambedkarite engineers.

The State conference of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Engineers Association (BAEA) was held at Nagpur in 1987 which was attended by a large number of engineers from all over Maharashtra. In the convention a 11 member Committee was constituted under the chairmanship of  Er B D Kardam. The committee held about 14  meetings for drafting aims, objectives, rules and regulations in such a way that  engineers all over the India and from all fields can come together for a larger objective to pay back to society as imagined by  Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Thus a student organization which started in 1969 by a  VRCE student Er Devendra Walde, was transformed as a National organization of professional engineers and engineering students.
